Abstract

The key task of the current stage of the education system development is the task of transition to new methods of organization and support of the educational process, allowing providing high-quality training of graduates with practical knowledge and skills in demand in the labor market. To solve this task is possible only with the use of innovative methods and tools for the creation of information-educational environment in the formation and processing of learning objects and software services distributed in the educational network and allowing the flexible implementation of the processes of educational and methodological support of educational activities.

The aim of the research is to determine the possibilities of using the ontological approach to the construction of innovative automated education management systems, including the construction of individual learning trajectories. In this regard, the problem of modeling and algorithmization of the formation of educational programs as a chain of interrelated training modules and objects, taking into account the implementation of a competence-based model of learning in a distributed educational environment of the University, seems to be interesting.

The modern education system is to be aimed primarily at adaptive generation of educational content, taking into account the needs of students and in accordance with constantly changing conditions and needs of the labor market. At present, research in this area mainly concerns issues such as the use of multimedia technologies and simulation programs, knowledge testing technologies based on the competency model, methods for measuring the degree of satisfaction with the quality of training, and management methods based on the portfolio of students. These issues and problems are considered with varying degrees of detail, for example, in [1, 2, 3, 4] and other works. The developed methodology for the formation of educational programs is based on the research results of these authors and is developing towards the use of ontologies that can integrate various concepts of professional and educational standards and create on their basis fundamentally new educational modules and objects. In our opinion, it corresponds to world trends in the development of science in this field of knowledge.

It is proposed to use the methods and methodologies of knowledge engineering as engineering methods: ontological engineering methods used for semantic modeling of the information and educational environment, allowing to represent the subject area in the form of a set of interconnected ontologies; methods for constructing and visualizing ontologies; methodologies for building databases and knowledge bases and forming complex queries to databases and knowledge bases; methods for semantic analysis of metadata; graph theory.

As a result of the analysis of the objects of the information and educational environment, the requirements for the meta-description of educational objects and services are identified, and a description of the concepts of basic ontologies of the informational and educational environment is presented. The article also discusses the possibilities of using modern software for the formation of an intellectual repository of ontologies. Thus, the proposed toolkit for generating educational programs, in our opinion, will allow us to formalize, simplify, and significantly accelerate the process offlexible development of materials necessary for organizing and supporting the educational process. Application of the described approach makes it possible to improve the quality of training of specialists due to the prompt creation of organizational, managerial and educational materials adapted to the requirements of the labor market, taking into account the peculiarities of forms and methods of training.

Abstract

The modern educational process, including theoretical and practical development of the basic educational program, provides that 40% of the basic information the student is receiving during the classes, the remaining 60% — for self-study. Research, practical and creative discussion groups in educational institutions of different levels (school, college, University) are helping talented and interested young people to develop their abilities and find their practical application. At the same time, significant assistance is provided by the use of modern teaching methods through long distance education, including systems of electronic educational and methodical complexes of disciplines and practices; systems that provide interactive communication of all subjects of the educational process, including industrial enterprises.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the efficiency of research discussion groups in educational institutions of the construction areas with the aim of generating interest in the chosen occupation, the development of creative skills of the talented youth, opportunities to exercise their author’s ideas and inventive work “products" on the market of goods and services, as well as the development implementation into the educational process of schools and attract pupils to project work in view of the networking cooperation on the regional cyber platform. The role of the head of the group is to arouse the interest of students to the proposed research topics, to teach them to use computer technology not only to search for data on new technical solutions, but also to exchange information between the participants of the educational process, i.e. search for like-minded people, including from other educational institutions in different regions.

Work in research groups of technical creativity in many respects facilitates process of development of occupations and specialties, gives the chance to expand and deepen area of knowledge, allows students to direct process, and for teachers to transfer part of this experience to occupations in classes to large audience, to involve all wishing to new projects.

This makes it possible to obtain better knowledge, increase the level of training and high learning outcomes of students and pupils, preparing them for admission to universities by increasing motivation through a variety offorms of technology, including e-learning, on-line training. Modern working conditions make competitive those graduates who can prove their professional versatility, diversity of knowledge and interests, high adaptability to any working conditions, as well as a high potential for self-development. In the current labor market conditions, there is a demand exclusively for highly qualified specialists of vocational professions, mid-level specialists (group leader, craftsman) and senior personnel (for example, site supervisor). In such circumstances, one diploma of education is not enough for those who want to move quickly up the career ladder.

Thus, at low costs for the transfer and exchange of information (knowledge and experience), we are able to provide both individual and collective way of development of research and creative abilities of students, to form persons, interested in further self-development, and as a result — the graduates, prepared for professional activity.

Abstract

The aim of this research is presenting project results, contributing to the effective management of the education system through the introduction of unified federal and regional open source databases that are in demand in the management of the education system of information. This article proves the urgency of introducing innovative mechanisms for managing the educational system at the regional and federal levels based on improving the sources of information, demanded in the management process.

Materials and methods of the research. The research was based on the results of the work as part of the performance of obligations under a state contract by the order of the Ministries of Education and Science of the Russian Federation from October 03, 2017for the project “Expert-analytical support of the elaboration and development of innovative mechanisms for managing the educational system at the regional and federal levels based on improving the sources of information, demanded in the management process". The following methods were used: analysis and synthesis, deduction (induction), search method, method of fixation and comparison, method of survey by means offilling out forms of data collection, the method of statistical processing of information, expert selection and peer review method, method of competences, discussion method, the method of carrying out organizational activities, the method of technical administration of Internet channels, method of network communication with “instant" access to information; method of presentation (problem, context), method of description, method for development of the material structure, inclusion method, method of structuring, method of proof-reading of text material, method of preparing content material, design method, method for determining of effective style solution, compilation method, method of preparation and arrangement, and others.

The results of the study revealed the relevance of open sources of information used in the management of the education system, as well as the actual directions that are included in the regional and federal levels based on improving the sources of information, demanded in the management process.

Conclusion. Business process charts are presented in the framework of the management mechanisms of the education system at the regional and federal levels by improving sources of information, demanded in the management process. As well as the procedure of formation of open sources is shown to fill unified federal and regional databases of public sources with the information, demanded in the process of education management.

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is the investigation of the modern approaches and prospects for the application of swarm intelligence algorithms for educational data analysis, as well as the possibility of using of ant algorithm modifications for organizing educational content in adaptive systems for conducting project seminars.

Materials and methods. The review of the modern articles on the educational data analysis based on swarm intelligence algorithms is provided; the approaches to solving problem of the optimal learning path construction (optimal organization of the learning objects) based on the algorithm and its modifications taking into account the students’ performance in the process of the optimal learning path construction are investigated; the application of particle swarm optimization and its modification based on Roccio algorithm for the reduction of curse dimension in the problem of the auto classifying questions; the application of ant algorithm, bee colony algorithm and bat algorithm for recommender system construction are studied; the prediction of students’ performance based on particle swarm optimization is researched in the article. The modification of ant algorithm for optimal organization of learning objects at projects seminars is proposed.

Results. The modern approaches based on swarm intelligence algorithms to problem solving in educational data analysis are investigated. The various approaches to pheromones updating (their evaporation) when building the optimal learning path based on students’ performance data and search of group with “similar" students are studied; the abilities of the hybrid swarm intelligence algorithms for recommendation construction are investigated.

Based on the modification of ant algorithm, the approach to the learning content organization at project seminars with individual preferences and students’ level of basic knowledge is proposed. The python classes are developed: the class for statistical data processing; the classfor modifica -tion of ant algorithm, taking into account the current level of knowledge and interest of student in studying a specific topic at the project seminar; the class for optimal sequence of the project seminars ’ topics for students. The developed classes allow creating the adaptive system that helps first year students with a choice of topics of project seminars.

Conclusion. According to the results of the study, we can conclude about the effectiveness of swarm intelligence algorithms usage to solve a wide range of tasks connected with learning content and students’ data analysis in the e-learning systems and perspectives to hybrid approaches development based on swarm intelligence algorithms for realizing the adaptive learning systems on the paradigm of “demand learning".

The results can be used to automate the organization of learning content during project seminars for the first-year students, when it is important to understand the basic level of knowledge and students’ interest in learning new technologies.

Abstract

Purpose of research. The aim of the study is to assess the relevance and effectiveness of the multi-level modular automated system of training, control and analysis of theoretical knowledge, developed and implemented in the educational process of the Ivanovo Fire and Rescue Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, implemented in the form of a computer program Fire Test. The urgency and necessity of developing a computer program due to the peculiarities of educational process in institutions of the system of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, associated with the separation of cadets from the training sessions to carry out preventive measures and emergence rescue operations in response to fires and emergencies, the need to replenish the educational material and increase the intensity of theoretical training. Freely available computer programs, designed for theoretical training and control, often have limitedfunctionality, and programs with more functionality do not allow organizing training in accordance with the security requirements for personal and service data, established in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

Materials and methods. To study the effectiveness of the computer program Fire Test in the educational process, the methods of scientific and pedagogical research were used, the main of which were observation and pedagogical experiment. Methods of synthesis and analysis of information processes, methods of statistical analysis were used to summarize the experimental data. For estimating the demand among cadets and Faculty of the Fire Test computer program diagnostic tools were used, available in the program, as well as the service “Yandex.Metrics".

Results. To assess the effectiveness of the program Fire Test the research was carried out on the level of theoretical knowledge of cadets of experimental groups, studying within the context-integration model and undergoing theoretical training through a multi-level modular automated system for teaching, monitoring and analyzing theoretical knowledge and cadets of control groups, studying in the traditional form. On the basis of the obtained test data, it is concluded that the introduction of the Fire Test program into the educational process has a statistically significant impact on the process of theoretical training and contributes to improving the level of theoretical training of cadets. The results are confirmed by a statistical criterion based on the student’s distribution, with a possible relative error of not more than 5%.

The demand of the Fire Test program among the Faculty is confirmed by the dynamics of its application for the organization of testing and control of theoretical training. In the 2018-2019 academic year, the number of tests, created for checking the theoretical knowledge of cadets in the Fire Test program increased 3.3 times compared to the 2017-2018 academic year. Cadets for theoretical training most often use mobile devices that allow regardless of time and location to have access to theoretical material for its study and self-control.

Conclusion. The results of the application of Fire Test programs in the educational process have shown its demand among students and Faculty, which is confirmed by the diagnostic monitoring tools of the “Yandex.Metrics " and service itself. The Fire Test program is an effective tool for theoretical training and control and contributes to improving the level of theoretical knowledge of cadets, which is confirmed by experimental studies conducted in the period from 2017-2018 to 2018-2019 academic year.

Abstract

Purpose of the research. At the present time of the society development, the task of process improvement of the quality of education is especially actual and the main tool of its decision is introduction in educational process of new federal educational standards. The competences formed in the course of training, and the knowledge, abilities and skills connected with them considering social and personal qualities of learners are the main components of the developed competence model of the graduate based on new educational standards of the higher education. Therefore, the main purpose of the study is to develop methods for assessing the level of formation of competencies of students considering social and personal qualities in the framework of the developed competence model of the graduate.

Materials and methods. In order to solve the research goal, the method of assessing the formation of students’ competencies within the framework of the developed competence model of the graduate was developed. The formation of the methods is based on the design of the competence-disciplinary model, which reflects the relationship of the competence model of the graduate and the corresponding educational program. Currently, there is no objective model that determines the level of complexity of tasks for each student, so in fact, approximate methods are used, which include adaptive testing. In the designed model the method of adaptive testing based on the theory of test tasks is applied. If a student correctly answers the received task, the complexity of the next task increases, if he answers incorrectly, the complexity of the task decreases. When developing a competence-based educational program a student does not begin to study the next subject, as long as he or she does not master sufficiently the discipline on which the next subject is based. To determine the necessary interdisciplinary relationships, we use a weighted semantic network, for the construction of which we form an adjacency matrix. In the formed matrix, the units are disciplines connected by arcs, which reflect the dependence of the formed competencies of one discipline with the competencies of the subsequent discipline.

Results. As a result of the analysis of existing methods, the model for assessing the quality of training with the social and personal qualities was designed. The method of adaptive testing was chosen to assess the level of competence formation. The main task of adaptive testing is not just to assess a student knowledge, but also to determine the level of his training, which is possible only in the selection of individual questions, revealing the level of the training. For reliable identification of the formation level of social and personal qualities, the obtained adapted version of R Ketell’s multifactorial questionnaire was used, in which the components are the formed groups of personal qualities. The algorithms of adaptive testing to assess the level of competence of students in the development of academic disciplines, as well as the assessment of existing social and personal qualities of students were developed.

Conclusion. The scientific novelty of the work is to develop a competency model of a graduate not only considering the assessment of the formation level of competencies of a student, but also considering social and personal qualities.

The results of the study are relevant and have practical significance for higher education organizations to solve the problems of assessing the level of training within the competence approach.

Abstract

Purpose of the study. The purpose of the study is to analyze the conditions for the effective teaching of bioinformation technologies in the paradigm of the quality of information systems using electronic educational tools, as well as the competence-activity approach in the educational process of the university. The relevance of the topic is determined by the need to develop the quality of the educational process and improve the quality of training of specialists in the field of information technologies and systems. The subject of the study is the identification and analysis of the properties of the structure of bioinformation technologies in the context of ensuring the quality of teaching information technologies and systems. The object of the study was the process of preparing bachelors in the direction of “Business Informatics", focusing on “Applied Informatics in the Humanitarian Sphere", masters in the direction of “Applied Informatics", focusing on: “Data and Knowledge Management in Computer Networks".

Materials and Research Methods. The article analyzes the properties of bioinformation technologies. The materials of the use of electronic educational resources in the educational process in the aspect of the competence-activity approach in improving the professional competencies of students are presented. The work used a set of research methods in the framework of the methodology of bioinformation technologies. A complex of conceptual, formalized and computer models has been completed, in particular, structural and parametric synthesis. The method is implemented by constructing modules aimed at performing consistent recognition of the properties of bioinformation technologies.

Results. Based on the results of the studies, the effectiveness of the analysis of the properties of bioinformation technologies in the quality paradigm of information systems and the improvement of the educational process in a set of information disciplines has been specified. The inclusion of a class of bioinformation technologies in the educational process expands and refines the quality paradigm of information technologies and systems and the methodology for their development. This condition improves the representation of the competency-based approach, taking into account the prospective requirements for the training of specialists.

Conclusion. The effectiveness of training IT specialists at universities in the country largely depends on the need to consider a wide class of information technologies in the educational process. In this regard, it should be noted that insufficient attention is paid to bioinformation technologies. The condition for considering the properties of bioinformation technologies in the quality paradigm of information systems is of particular importance in the development of the competence-activity approach. There is a need to solve the problems of identifying the properties of bioinformation technologies and their subsequent synthesis from the standpoint of the requirements for the quality of information systems. Problem solving is based on the structural and parametric synthesis of bioinformation technologies. Synthesis is performed through the implementation of the structural modules of the synthesis system. This approach ensures the activation of students’ work on the development of professional competencies, to improve academic performance, the level of quality of term and graduate qualification final projects, taking into account promising requirements for the quality of training of IT specialists at the Institute of Information Technology and Security of the Russian State Humanitarian University.

Abstract

Purpose of the research. The aim of the study is to develop algorithms for calculating the time to complete a task by a group of workers. The possibility of using fuzzy sets to set the time to complete the work by one employee, and the approach to setting fuzzy sets of the time to complete the work when communicating with the employee, based on optimistic and pessimistic times of work. At the same time, a new algorithm for summarizing fuzzy functions defined on different bearing sets is presented for calculating the resulting time to complete work by many workers.

Materials and research methods. The proposed algorithm is based on the idea of calculating the total task execution time for a certain value of the membership function. To calculate the time to complete the task, it is proposed to use the productivity of workers calculated from fuzzy functions of the time to complete the work. For the possibility of applying the generalization algorithm to the “clear" membership functions of the fuzzy function of the time the work is performed by a specific employee, restrictions are imposed. These functions must be continuous, monotonic and within the range take values 0 and 1. When the constraints are satisfied, the generalization procedure, defined as a search for the maximin of functions, can be represented as a search for arguments of membership functions for the same values of the functions themselves. In the case of specifying the membership unction of an individual employee in the form of a piecewise function, the generalization algorithm requires consideration only of the points at which the piecewise junctions have inflection points. After assigning a group of workers to the task, it is necessary to calculate all the inflection points of the resulting time to complete the work. For each obtained value of the membership function, it is necessary to calculate the total productivity of all employees. The result is a piecewise membership function of the fuzzy productivity function of all the workers assigned to the task, from which we can calculate the membership function of the fuzzy function of the task execution time.

Results. The procedure for setting fuzzy sets of task execution time for each individual employee is considered. A new algorithm for calculating the time to complete a task by a group of workers using fuzzy sets is proposed. For the proposed algorithm, a mathematical apparatus has been created for the procedure for generalizing fuzzy functions defined on various bearing sets. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the proposed generalization algorithm for two workers with different membership functions of the time of the work. In addition, with the help of software, the problem of determining the time to complete the work was solved when solving the problem of compiling teams of programmers (35 programmers) during the development of a software product (broken down into 15 tasks). At the same time, the assignment problem had to be solved manually.

Conclusion. The proposed approach makes it easy enough to calculate the generalized time to complete the work, but also requires further research. Basically, research is required that would allow for a defazification procedure or a decision support system based on fuzzy criteria. Studies related to the replacement of piecewise function by another monotonic, continuous function are also possible.
